Thought pieces on topics I find interesting.

If philosophy is meant to “illuminate” then no subject should be off the table. In addition to being analytically difficult, any subject can also be uncomfortable to speak on just socially. What desires to be unmentioned, however, should rather stay unhidden. After all, ignoring an issue does not actually allow it to “disappear”: the proper way to solve an issue is to acknowledge the concept, and accept that we must find a solution for what dis-ease it is causing. An elephant in the room, for example, isn’t diminished by ignoring it altogether: an elephant in the room is diminished and allowed to be addressed once we acknowledge that there is an elephant in the room!

With varying amounts of philosophical rigor: you will find my try’s (l’essai) at addressing these “elephants”.

Concluding, I ask the reader keep this in mind: would you consider what I write about really odd? And, if so, how and why?
